It is the role of the Fylde Dean together with the Assistant Deans (three postgraduate students who live in the College) to maintain good discipline in Fylde College and with all its students.

Living in a community in college is fun but can be challenging at times – especially if you have thoughtless neighbours who may be noisy or never do the dishes, or groups who invite friends around all the time and takeover the kitchen!

Responsible living is necessary.

If there are problems in your flat don’t suffer in silence, come and have a chat with the College Administrator or Residence Officer. If the problem is in the middle of the night CALL THE PORTERS. 93401. Your call will be taken in confidence.

Our Assistant Deans have been students themselves and will have experienced life as a student at Lancaster. They are happy just to have a chat with you as they aren’t just there to fine you!

All students of Lancaster University are subject to the University Rules.

You are also advised to refer to The Residence Handbook if you live on campus.
